Top Five for 2024!

As we prepare for the many changes that are sure to come with every new year, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge all the progress and positivity at Osceola Regional Health Center from this past year.

  1. 5-Star Rating!   Osceola Regional Health Center is a 5-Star Hospital! The NRRS 5-Star rating reflects ORHC’s ongoing commitment to meeting the unique healthcare needs of the rural community it serves. This recognition highlights the hospital’s success in providing outstanding medical services, despite the challenges often faced by rural healthcare facilities. 2. Perfect Score on Trauma Center re-certification   Every three years trauma centers need to be re-evaluated and re-certified to maintain the highest quality of patient care. This year, Osceola Regional Health Center completed its Trauma Level IV certification with ZERO deficiencies! We are so grateful for our wonderful staff and their diligent efforts to provide the best possible care for our patients!

As a Level IV trauma center, Osceola Regional Health Center offers important services that can save lives, such as advanced trauma life support, trauma nurses and physicians, and emergency medical staff available 24/7. If a patient does need to be transferred, we provide life-saving, critical care and stabilize patients until they can be transferred to a higher-level trauma center. ORHC also offers an emergency telemedicine option, which is a two-way video technology that provides access to board-certified emergency physicians and nurses with just a touch of a button.

  1. We are growing! We have seen considerable growth in many of our outpatient services including same-day surgery, therapies, and behavioral health. Our new pain management services with Jesse Hyde have expanded from one day per month to four days per month in its first year. Our Physical Therapy department is now offering specialized Pelvic Health physical therapy and has added dry-needling services. We have added an additional provider to the Wound Care services we offer. Nathan Peters now offers wound care services at Osceola Regional Health Center in addition to Brenda Walsh’s Wound/Ostomy Care services. These services have made a positive impact by improving well-being, functionality and the quality of life for many patients in our region.
  1. Record breaking volumes In September 2024, Osceola Regional Health Center had a record-breaking number of surgical cases in a single month.
